(More customer reviews)This is a stunning looking and feeling hot water bottle!The texture is very classy and the color is a lovely pearl-like white.Unlike older rubber HWBs, it does not smell at all.And it is rather heavier.I'm not sure if it's just because of the texture, which is quite substantial, or if they needed to make the plastic thick for strength, but the sides are quite thick.Because of this, and perhaps because of the nature of the plastic, hot water right from the tap does not seem hot enough to make this HWB warm enough.The directions say not to put boiling water into this HWB, but to be honest, I've had to put at least 1/2 almost boiling water (and 1/2 the hottest tap water) into it to get it warm enough.This has been very satisfying to use, but I notice that once I did that, the HWB no longer lies flat when it's empty; it keeps it's full shape even when there is nothing in it.So this very hot water has affected the plastic.Whether it will weaken it over time I can't tell.I've only had it a few weeks.The thickness is why I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5.Otherwise, it's perfect.I've used it in my massage studio and people always comment on how beautiful it is.
